The month of October was a terrific one for foodies in Kuala Lumpur with the Malaysian International Gourmet Festival (MIGF) encouraging wonderful menus at participating restaurants. Chefs and sommeliers were inspired to put together exciting and inventive meals and drink pairings and many of our members ventured to new and old favourite restaurants.
As a group we had a casual outing to the fairly new restaurant “Nook” at the Aloft Kuala Lumpur Sentral, it was the first time this restaurant participated in MIGF. IChef Steven Seow had created a funky fusion menu with a strong thread of Japanese running through it and included Sarawakian lobster and abalone laksa with organic soba noodles as an unusual Ais Kacang dessert.
